Vladimir Putin Sworn-In as Russian President for 4th term

Vladimir Putin was sworn-In as the President of Russia for the fourth time,Renewing another six year term in office.

Mr.Putin won re-election in March with nearly 77 percent of the vote.

Vladimir Putin was born on October 7,1952 in St.Petersburg ( know as Leningrad),Russia.

The President is elected in a two-round system every six years, with a two consecutive term limitation. If no Candidate win majority in the first round, a second round is held between two candidate with most votes.

He received the Bronze Medal for faithful Service to the national People's Army issued in the German Democratic Republic in the year 1989.

In December 1999,Boris yeltsin resigned as president of Russia appointed Putin acting president until official elections were held, and in march 2000, Putin was elected to his first term with 53 percent of the vote.
