The list Released in 2018 is for the year 2017.

The Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the ninth most powerful person in the world, according to American Business magazine forbes.

Chinese President Xi jinping tops the list for the first time ,replacing Russian President Vladimir Putin.

PM Modi,who is ranked 9th and Mr Ambani at 32,are the only two Indians on the Forbes world's most powerful people list.
